Aloha! I’m Lynn, and I have called Hawaii home since 1989. I lived on the Big Island from 1989 to 2001, and I have lived on Oahu ever since. My family and I raised three children here, so I have experienced Hawaii not only as a local, but also as a parent and longtime resident.

I created Hawaii Packing Guide to share practical advice with visitors who want to feel prepared before their trip. After living on two different islands for many years, I have a good understanding of what people actually use in Hawaii, what is helpful to pack, and what can probably be left at home.

My family and I also love traveling around the world, and Japan is my favorite destination so far. Being a traveler myself helps me understand how confusing it can be to plan for a new place.
